"Cork models as true testimonies of times long past"
"(...) Based on drafts by German archaeologists Friedrich Kraus and Dieter Mertens, Cöllen created cork models of three temples (Athena, Hera, Poseidon) of Paestum on a scale of 1:50. He strictly followed Chichi's footsteps and paid regard to all the destruction and traces of decay; therefore these cork models do not idealize but exactly describe the current state of the admirable antique buildings. Thus their beauty as well as their significance can develop within their originality."
